Comparing Lebanon to Australia



















First I should state that Lebanon is my home country where i have been living since childhood and in addition I have never visited Australia but I like this country and i hope to go their in the future.
  • geographic difference :
when it comes to the size of the country Lebanon is so much smaller than Australia . where Australia size is about  7,741,220 sq km which is about 774 time the size of Lebanon ( 10400 sq km )
  • used language :
           when it comes to the languages we can see the difference because the main language in Lebanon is the Arabic language while in Australia they use the English language as the primary language . 
  • Economic states :
                    According to the below graphs and charts we see the similarity in the change in the unemployment rate in Lebanon that is increasing in the same manner of Australia 










  • food
        Lebanon is mostly known by the tabbouleh dishes and their starters while in Australia their most famous dishes is a sweet one wishes is the Pavlova

  •  Culture difference :
Australia is a predominant christian country but people are not obliged to follow any specific religion which is also the same in Lebanon but in Lebanon the two dominant religion are the Muslims and Christians . In additions Australia contain many museum that contains Australian arts , and for Lebanon when it come for traditional arts we are known by the "Dabke"

Similarities and differences between the Lebanese and Canadian

I have lived in Canada and Lebanon for numerous years and as such, I've noticed numerous similarities as well as differences between both cultures. For instance,  in Canada, teenage independence is much higher than in Lebanon. As a teenager of 16 years of age, you're relied upon to get a job and not depend on your parents, while in Lebanon, teenagers cannot get a job until they reach 18years of age and are expected to stay with their parents until they get married. In addition, Canada is a much more organised country with a much better organised system. Lebanon, on the other hand, somehow manages to stay afloat in corruption and chaos. Last but not least, the Canadian culture is much more open to acceptance of people of different cultures, nationality and religion. The Lebanese culture however, needs to take great strides to accept others of different religion and nationality as they takes these aspects of oneself way too personal.
