Intercultural communication is the process by which citizens of different countries and cultures interchange information and discuss topics with one another without restrictions.
The Canadian people are people of knowledge. Hence, the bar has been set high when it comes to the ways of communication. Effective communication, as regarded by Canadians, is the interchanging of valuable information in a considerate way.
In Lebanon, the subject that stirs the most controversy is religion, and thus, communication in which religion is the main topic would be considered bad by the Lebanese people's standards. As for Canadians, who are very considerate and friendly people, bad communication is any communication which might be offensive to either party engaged in the talk.
In Lebanon, people who stand out when it comes to intercultural communication are those who do not feel the need to bring up the subject of religion every now and then: for instance, your average Lebanese Joe would ask about your religion upon your first meeting, whereas a considerate Lebanese would never ask for that. As for Canadians, effective communicators are those who respect others and do not belittle them.
Both Lebanese and Canadian citizens are very hospitable. Lebanese people will always invite people over for lunch, dinner or even breakfast. For instance, every time I go on an elevator with a neighbor, he invites me over. As for Canadians, they will always go the extra mile to help their loved ones. Canadians, are known to be the most caring and friendly people, and rightfully so.

But if we dwelve deeper into their respective cultures, we would be likely to find many similarities.   1- Language:    The Lebanese are known for being very efficient at learning languages. The average Lebanese can speak up to 3 languages: Arabic, French and English. Some are also fluent in Spanish, Italian, or German. Italians mostly speak Italian (97%), and a gre...

There are also vast differences like language, geography and music. Here I'll compare each aspect separately. Food Food is an important aspect because it defines a big part of culture. A society with their own types of food have a history and thus a strong and content culture. Both Kurdish people and Lebanese people are very proud of their special kinds of foods and they are both quite tasty. Traditional Kurdish food includes yaprakh, niskene, tapsi, shifta and makluba. Traditional lebanese food includes tabbouleh, fattoush, hummus, kebbeh and wine.  Kurdish Cuisine Lebanese Cuisine Religion Kurds are predominantly Sunni Muslim, however there are many other groups of religions including Yezdanism, Zoroastrianism, Christianity, and Judaism, so there is a lot of diversity. As I understand, Lebanon has a lot of ...
