As a consequence, a special district known as Bourj Hammoud became a  home to more than 150000  Armenians who sought refuge away from the Armenian genocide that took place on April 24th 1915. It is therefore within our interest to evaluate the intercultural relations between these two  countries.  A common History As we have seen, the Armenian presence in Lebanon during the  Ottoman  period was minimal; however, there was a large influx of Armenians after the Armenian Genocide of 1915. The Levant has been divided and segregated after the secretive Sykes-Picot agreement in  1916, which  created national conflicts within the states. So, it is with deep interest in knowing further and delve in the similarities and differences of the cultures of the segregated countries. And to answer the following  question: Is there, really, a grand discrepancy in the Levant? Japan and China          When I was a kid, I always though that Japanese and Chinese people were the same. However, when I grew up I discovered that they constituted two different cultures but I never knew what distinguished them and made them two unique and different countries.  So I decided to write about the similarities and differences of Japan and China to discover more about these two cultures. There are many things in common between Japan and China.   Geography: Both of the countries are situated in Eastern Asia. Government: China and japan both had an Emperor.   China was ruled by an emperor for over 2000 years and it’s first emperor was Qin Shi Huang who managed to unite all of China under one rule.
